Time is flying past. Although it seems to pass real slow when you're living out the days!! Josiah is already 6 weeks old! Today is also our 3rd wedding anniversary - can't believe we already have 2 kids!!
Josiah has put on quite a fair bit of weight since his birth, and this is based on our observation. We haven't officially taken his weight but he definitely has a double chin now, and his face ia getting rounder and rounder!! This boy is really long too, for he already seems to be too long for his rocker!!
He is still feeding every 2 hours, and sleeps through pretty much most of the day. Based on his formula feeds, he usually drinks abt 70-100ml per feed. The evils of the bottle have tempted me much with the ease and freedom it brings. As such, these days, he suckles at the initial stage and if he fails to be satisfied, the formula would supplement my milk. At night though, breastmilk is what feeds him as he is still waking on the dot every 2 hours!
This child is developing slightly faster than his sister in motor skills considering that he isn't as stimulated as she was. He is sleeping on his tummy most of the time, and as a result, is quite apt at doing his mini-pushups! In the same position, if something is placed behind his feet, he'll kick it to propel himself forward. His legs are awfully strong and can almost support his body weight.
He doesn't seem to like bathtime as much though, and is often clinging on for dear life as if i were gonna drown him! He loves to be carried too and can rarely lie on his own for long. He also loves my baby sling and falls asleep readily when put into it. That is one of the remedies used for those awful crying episodes!!
Faith is increasingly adding to her word list... Her current new words are
Where
There
Hair
Mouth
Nose
Eyes
Finally, the words are going somewhere other than animal names!!
This princess is a true dog lover. She gets so so happy when she is in te presence of dogs and she loves big dogs! Toy breeds mean nothing to her! She's been interacting quite a fair bit with them these days, and whilst in the past, she needed to warm up to them first, these days, she approaches them readily and does not cry even when they respond readily to her! In fact, she even kisses and hugs them- collies, cavalier king charles, cocker spaniel, etc!
Though the stress of having to cope with both of them gets to me sometimes, i'm just glad that Faith's antics never fail to cheer me up. :)
This Christmas will be our first as a family of four. Can't wait to celebrate it with them!!! :)
