Ten tiny little fingers that always want to play,

That never stop exploring the wonder of today.

Ten tiny little fingers that from the very start,

Will reach out for tomorrow yet always hold your heart.

*.* Mummy and Daddy's Note to US *.*

May today there be peace within.

May yoiu trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.

May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of Faith.

May you use those gifts you have received,

And pass on the love that has been given to you.

May you be content knowing you are a child of God.

Let this presence settle into your heart,

And allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love.

The lack of recent posts can be greatly attributed to my two babies taking turns to fall sick.

We've been to Thomson Medical sooo often in this past month that it's starting to feel like home.

First it was Faith and her cough and flu
Then Josiah caught it, and did not get better.

This was in late January with 3 visits.

Then during CNY, Faith suddenly had a high fever, which was a result of a throat infection.
Next came Josiah's jab.
Then he caught the flu bug, and had to go back for a review.

So now it's end Feb, with another 4 visits.

Sigh.

The boy is thankfully getting better. Though he is still congested and phelgmy, yet it definitely is improving.

Go away little virus and bug that's tormenting my angels....

-----------------------

On hindsight,
Time really flies.
Josiah is almost 4 month old already.
Faith is almost turning 2.

And my leave is halfway through with the end of Term 1 now in sight.

Sigh.

much as I whine and whine about my loss of freedom and how it is extremely tiring to be with the kids 24/7, yet, I know I will miss these endless hours with them once I return to work.......

Their daily achievements never fail to amuse me, especially with Josiah learning to sit up, and his ability to hang on real long in his push-up position. He is growing sooo quickly and is now 7.04kg and 67cm. Despite all his illnesses, he never stops growing!

As of now, Josiah takes in about 170ml of milk, most of the time every 2.5 hrs.
He'll stay awake for about 1.5-2 hrs, and then he'll take a half hour nap.
In the afternoon though, he'll take a 4 hour nap, going to sleep slightly earlier than Faith, and waking up just before she does.
At night, he'll sleep with about 4-5 hours between his last feed for the day and his night feed.
He also usually sleeps in the sarong for his naps these days... freeing up our hands to do our chores or to look after Faith.

He'll probably be starting on solids soon... much as I can't wait for him to start, yet, it just hit me how much work is gonna have to be done once more... all the puree-ing, testing out of new textures and flavours to see what he likes/dislikes, and whether there are any allergies. But, it'll be fun. =)

Faith is picking up new words at a really fast pace, and can now form simple 2 word sentences on her own, as well as address most of her relatives!
Her love for animals continues to grow, and her new best entertainment other than the TV is our phones. That alone can keep her occupied for hours, though that isn't something we like her to do. Ernie is still her best friend, and he goes everywhere she goes. In fact, we even use Ernie to get her to keep her toys, not that she disapproves of it! =)
We have also begun reading to her before bedtime, and she seems to enjoy it. Funny how that's the only time she'll allow us to read to her!

We have decided that once she turns 2, we will begin toilet training her. Read on another mummy's blog of how she did intensive toilet training for her 33mth-old and 22-mth old concurrently. And I guess we'll try out that method too.

Basically, the difference is that the child goes cold turkey right from the start. We have to prepare her for it by stocking up on lots of drinks and snacks for her. The 3 day training will focus on her entirely. The only difference in her day is that we will pile her up with drinks and snacks, so that she'll continuously need to relieve herself. This way, it gives her experience with how the 'feeling' of needing to pee/poop feels like. No diapers at all, and straightaway she moves on to underwear. However, i guess that for us, seeing as they both share our bed, we'll still stick to her wearing diapers in bed.... Have to prepare ourselves for lots and lots of accidents! But, we'll see how it goes. If she doesn't take well to it, then we'll probably push it back.

Lots of prep going on for her 2nd birthday. This time, it'll be a far smaller affair with only family and some close friends. However, we've still booked a chalet for the celebration because we didn't want to have to clean up after the party.

Another NG family outing is planned for in June.... funny how we always go on a roadtrip with the youngest of the family being 8 or 9 months! It happened for Ethan, then for Faith, and now for Josiah! This time, we'll be going to visit my grandma's niche, see the relatives, and then head up to Genting. The last time, we skipped Genting coz Faith was too young, but this time, we've been persuaded to continue the trip coz she is old enough to take some rides. First trip with 2 kids... lots of dread and anticipation! =)

First challenge will be on 12 March, where I am tasked to conduct a Lenten Retreat for my school. It'll be their first day without me around, albeit only for 5 hours? Just hope they'll be good and not bully their grandparents!!!
